Dadirri Retreat

Bowen Mountain, New South Wales

A Sanctuary for Deep Listening

Quietly tucked into five acres at Bowen Mountain, Dadirri Retreat is an architectural meditation on stillness. Designed by Clinton Cole of CplusC Architects, its pavilion-style layout wraps around tranquil ponds and captures views of the Blue Mountains. Inside, warm timber tones and floor-to-ceiling glass blur the boundary between home and bushland. “Dadirri” means deep listening — the art of slowing down enough to feel connected. Morning coffee tastes better on the deck; afternoons drift by beside the saltwater pool or firelit lounge. Each of the three bedrooms sits in its own pavilion, creating privacy without distance. Whether you’re reading by the double-sided fireplace, hiking fern-lined trails in nearby Kurrajong, or soaking in the master bath, peace becomes a tangible thing here. Luxury comes without noise — just quiet, light, and breath.
