Lemongum at Banongill Station

Skipton, Victoria

A Restored Heritage Cottage on a Historic Farm

Set on the edge of Banongill Station’s historic homestead garden, Lemongum is a restored heritage cottage offering a slower kind of farm stay in regional Victoria. Wrapped in history, redgums and quiet intention, it sits beside the fragrant lemongum tree that gives the cottage its name.

Inside, rustic charm meets understated luxury through natural fabrics, vintage furniture, considered paint colours and collected objects that tell the story of the property. Fresh flowers from the garden, a calming signature scent and a beautifully preserved wrought iron bath add to the sense of gentle retreat.

Guests are invited to wander creek paths, picnic beneath the redgums, explore the homestead gardens or glimpse daily farm life, from bird-filled wetlands to chickens and harvests. With no television or microwave by design, Lemongum makes space for slow meals, books, fireside conversation and the quiet rhythm of the station itself.
