The Harvesters Moon
Eyre Peninsula, South Australia
A Surf-Side Hideaway with a Rebel Heart
Wild, windswept, and effortlessly soulful, The Harvesters Moon captures the free-spirited essence of South Australia’s west coast. What began as a crumbling shack has been reborn into a two-bedroom off-grid retreat alive with music, colour, and character. French flax linen, pink couches, vinyl spinning late into the night — it’s nostalgic, a little rebellious, and deeply restorative. From the balcony, the Southern Ocean stretches forever, swallowing sunsets whole. Days start with tea on the headland and end with wine by the fire, sky ablaze in orange and pink. Just fifteen minutes from town, guests can stock up on oysters, pastries, and local wine before returning to this salt-kissed sanctuary. Named for Neil Young’s Harvest Moon, it’s a love letter to simple pleasures, open horizons, and the joy of doing absolutely nothing at all.
