An 1830s Residence Reimagined in the Cultural Heart of Hobart
Set in the cultural heart of North Hobart, COLLECTED/PLACES Hobart is an 1830s sandstone residence reimagined as three atmospheric heritage apartments. Behind its convict-laid bricks, original fireplaces and timeworn timber floors, the city softens almost instantly, offering a considered stay shaped by history, art and quiet Tasmanian luxury.
The residence unfolds across The Georgian, The Top Floor and The Artist’s Quarters, each with two queen bedrooms and one bathroom. Booked together, the property sleeps up to twelve guests, making it ideal for families and groups who want to gather without losing a sense of intimacy. Booked individually, each apartment offers its own private corner of Hobart.
Throughout, locally sourced antiques, Tasmanian artworks, heirlooms and tactile linens create a feeling of warmth rather than polish. Guests are welcomed with thoughtful touches such as Coaldale walnuts, Storm and India tea and, for direct bookings, a classic gin and tonic from a favourite local distiller.
Step outside and North Hobart unfolds on foot, with Ogee, Willing Wine, Sonny, Wide Awake, Bett Gallery and Handmark Gallery all nearby. Salamanca and the waterfront are an easy wander or short drive away, but COLLECTED/PLACES offers its own kind of Hobart: layered, lived-in and quietly full of story.
