Sage Cottage

Lithgow, New South Wales

A Restored Cottage in the Heart of the Seven Valleys

Set on a quiet street in Lithgow, Sage Cottage is a restored double-brick cottage framed by the mountains of the Seven Valleys. Minutes from town yet quietly removed, it offers a warm and thoughtful base for exploring Lithgow’s lookouts, walking trails and the wider Blue Mountains region.

Owner Angela began restoring the cottage in 2024, uncovering original brickwork that became central to its character. Those same bricks were later reused in the outdoor dining courtyard, where old Lithgow soft drink bottles and horseshoes discovered in the garden have been embedded as small nods to the past.

Inside, heritage detail meets contemporary warmth. A living room fireplace invites slow winter evenings, while the deep soaking tub is made for long baths after a day exploring. Outside, a firepit, dining area, sunrise views over the mountains and a sunset-facing veranda extend the experience.
